What is the difference between SEO and PPC?
PPC (Pay Per Click) is the process of paying Google to advertise your website and you simply pay for every click to your website. This is a good solution for start-up companies that need new customers fast to keep their business alive. SEO is the process of developing your website naturally so you can get clicks to your website without having to pay for every click. SEO is a better solution for established businesses because it takes more time to develop a website naturally but the end result of being able to get clicks for free over a long period of time is infinitely better.
Is SEO for me?
SEO is not for every business. If your business is having trouble with consistency and you don’t have a natural flow of customers then SEO is probably not for you at this moment because it’s not an overnight process and there are other things you can do to try and get new customers to keep your business active. On the other hand, if you have a healthy established business and you’ve reached the point where to want to scale to get it moving a lot faster then SEO is one of the best things you can do to grow and be one of the leading brands in your area.
Do I need to update my website’s design to make SEO work?
No. The biggest things that impact how websites become visible naturally are a site’s relevance and authority. The design of your website doesn’t actually impact the natural visibility you receive through Google. Most companies will tell you to update your website’s design because they’re trying to sell you a new website but there is more than enough evidence to prove that this isn’t necessary. You should only update your site’s design if you want something specific or to update your online image, not for SEO purposes because it won’t make a meaningful difference.
